Hikers are always looking for new places to walk, new vistas to explore. Our national parks, such as the Peak District, Yorkshire Dales and Moors, are a favourite destination for walkers and hikers because they are crisscrossed with way-marked paths and trails and offer acres of unspoilt countryside.
Youth hostels and bunk houses frequently serve larger groups but there are those who prefer a little comfort and find the idea of renting a cottage much more appealing.
