This welcoming and homely 3 bedroom Yorkshire holiday cottage enjoys a tranquil hilltop location, north of Todmorden, close to Hebden Bridge and just half an hour's drive from Haworth in the heart of Bronte country. Offering character and charm, this 3 bedroom pet-friendly cottage sleeps up to five people and boasts superb countryside views.
Inside this 3 Bedroom Cottage near Haworth
The accommodation at Rough Top Cottage is homely and comfortable. There is a sitting room with a log fire and comfy leather sofas along with a flat-screen TV with a DVD player. The farmhouse kitchen is well equipped and contains a table large enough to seat eight. Wide doors from the kitchen lead out to the patio area where you can sit out on the garden furniture and admire the views at this idyllic location. Also on this floor is a single bedroom and shower room that may suit a person who prefers not to climb stairs.
Upstairs
Stairs lead from the sitting room to the first floor and upstairs there are two bedrooms; a spacious king-size bedroom with its own TV and a twin bedroom. These two rooms are served by a family shower room with WC.
All bedrooms have good quality bed-linen and soft fluffy white towels.
A starter supply of logs is provided. Guests may purchase more logs if desired.
The Garden
Outside is the patio area, as well as a private garden and a nature garden for you to enjoy.

West Yorkshire is an excellent area to enjoy a number of good walks (the Calderdale Way, Pennine Way and Mary Towneley Loop can all be joined close to Todmorden). Cycling, horse riding and sightseeing can also be enjoyed in this part of Yorkshire.
Close by is the pretty town of Hebden Bridge with its choice of cafes, restaurants, shops and its picturesque canal. Also not too far away is the town of Haworth which lies at the heart of Bronte Country. Haworth is a fascinating place to visit for fans of the literary works of the Bronte sisters. Another popular place to visit is the nearby town of Halifax with its many amenities.

It is conveniently situated for climbing at Bridestones and as a base for touring West Yorkshire with trips to the Dales and also the Bronte village of Haworth. Visit the newly re-opened historic Peice Hall in Halifax The area is fast becoming famous for film and TV which include Gentleman Jack, Last Tango in Halifax and Happy Valley

Annual Eventst: Lots of enjoyable festivals to visit in Hebden Bridge + Halifax has great events most weekends throughout the summer. You might be inclined to book a holiday cottage to coincide with a festival so that you have a day out that you know will be the highlight of your holiday. A food festival is held in York during the last week of September. Bradford is known as the curry capital of Britain and even if you cannot make it to the festival you may like to book a meal in in an Indian restaurant and spice up your break. There are all kinds of music festivals all around Yorkshire. A good holiday can be yours at any time in Yorkshire, there is no such thing as bad weather - just dress for the season.
