The old town of Caterham is at Caterham on the Hill where there is an interesting historical Norman church and a pretty Victorian church. The new town of Caterham is connected to the old town via the steep Church Hill.
There is a range of excellent golf clubs in the immediate area. The town has its own mainline railway station providing easy access to nearby Croydon and central London. Alternatively you could use the network to take you to the south coast to the seaside resort of Brighton.
