Corner Cottage provides a warm welcome and is the ideal place to enjoy a relaxing retreat away from everyday life. Warm golden lighting makes the spacious open plan living area an inviting space, and the stunning, unique fireplace acts as an amazing centrepiece in the room. Don’t miss a chance to relax on the comfy sofas under the high beamed ceilings, enjoying some movie snacks as you settle in for a film night. Or, keep the cook entertained and sit around the dining table, an ideal space for everyone and perfectly placed by the kitchen area so everyone can be involved in rustling up a snack.
The kitchen comes provided with everything you could need, whether you’re a budding chef looking to try something new or just after some comfort food. All the essentials are provided, such as a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, and even some added extras too! The cafetiere and Tassimo coffee machine are sure to make for a perfect morning pick me up, and the provided tea bags will go down well! Everything has been thought out to make sure you enjoy a flawless holiday – there is an outdoor seating area so you can enjoy a coffee or breakfast in the small courtyard if you prefer!

The bedrooms are a magical finishing touch – there are two to pick from, sleeping four adults across them.
•The main bedroom has a lovely double bed,
•The second bedroom offers flexibility with a bed that can be arranged as either a lavish double bed or as twin beds. A travel-cot is also available at no extra cost.
•The stylish bathroom is another luxury; a light and airy space with a bath, shower over, toilet, hand basin, shaver-socket and a mirror with a light.

Or, if your interest is piqued by the amazing history of Saxmundham, then explore the two art galleries and the local history museum. There’s plenty to enjoy in town, and don’t forget about the street market on Wednesdays!

Top Attractions: Corner Cottage is just 30 mins drive to all the popular places to visit - including the sandy beach at Southwold, the seaside town of Aldeburgh, the riverside town of Woodbridge, the English Heritage castles at Framlingham and Orford.... there is so much to see and do in the area, you?ll want to come back time and time again! The gently undulating terrain of the Suffolk countryside is perfect for walking or cycling, and for bird watchers... RSPB Minsmere is just 6 miles away, close to Dunwich. You can learn about Dunwich: the 'town which fell into the sea' at the museum in the village, and Dunwich Heath is stunning - a designated AONB ('Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'). It has its own stretch of quiet beach, and open-air theatre is held on the heath itself each summer. Saxmundham has an excellent public transport service, with trains/buses to most attractions and popular places of interest - so you can have days out without the car.
Recommended Places to Visit: Corner Cottage is within 30 mins drive of most popular places of interest such as... Southwold, Aldeburgh, Woodbridge, Framlingham, Orford, Thorpeness, Walberswick... Also within easy reach of Beccles - for boating on the Broads, and an ideal location for walkers or birdwatchers. The historic dockyard of Ipswich, Bury St Edmunds, and Dedham Vale (?Constable Country?) are also enjoyable days out.
Annual Eventst: There are many regular events such as farmers' markets, and craft fairs; popular annual events such as the regattas, street carnivals, poetry, literature and music festivals - in November & March, plus numerous art galleries, museums and antique centres to browse around. There are even two vinyards, within 30 mins drive.
Recommended Places to Eat Out: Far too many to mention here (the area is famous for its food!), but here are a couple of our local favourites... The Bell: Saxmundham High Street - Modern British style food. The Poacher's Pocket: Carlton, Saxmundham (10 mins drive or a pleasant 30 min walk through the Country Park) - family-run freehouse serving home-cooked food and real ales, in a relaxed and friendly manner. The Crossed Keys: Aldeburgh (8 miles, approx 15 mins drive) - serving traditional seaside/pub dishes, locally-caught fish & crab.
