Step through the pretty porch into Yellow Gate Cottage’s lovely living area, perfectly designed to make the most of an elegant, fresh colour scheme and bright areas. Sit under the exposed beam ceilings in front of the electric wood burner, heating the room so it’s warm and cosy whatever the weather outside. Don’t forget to enjoy the TV on those evenings in! The dining area is another ideal space, set just behind the living area and perfect to enjoy some breakfast. The bright kitchen makes good use of its space, with a modern interior well-lit by slanted windows, so cooking will be a pleasure!

Head upstairs to find yourself in one of two bedrooms, both beautifully designed to ensure a soothing nights sleep. The first bedroom is a brightly lit room with a lavish double bed, where you can let the soft colours and fresh linens sing you to sleep. The second bedroom features a pretty design with a window gleaming over two single beds, perfect for midnight chats! The upstairs bathroom means you can roll out of bed and into the bath and shower, letting cooling waters wake you up for a new day of adventures and making memories with friends or family.

Outside, sit out on the paved courtyard on the garden furniture, where you can enjoy the serene surroundings and tranquil village life of Porlock. It’s the perfect place for a sunny morning or a warm twilight evening.

Step right out of your front door to find yourself on Porlock high street, with an array of shops to experience and support. A staple of this working village are the local pubs, which you’ll certainly enjoy, as well as all the traditional shops and independent restaurants and tea rooms (as well as all of the conveniences you’ll need, from grocery shops to a hardware shop!). If you fancy a walk, why not go down to Porlock Weir, where you can explore the 13th century harbour and pebble beach. For a day at the town, Minehead is only a 15-minute car drive, and is full of all the shops you could need as well as a sandy beach. There will be plenty to explore all from Yellow Gate Cottage.
