3 Bedroom Lincolnshire Rural Retreat with Access to On Site Swimming Pool and Fishing Lakes

Set on a working farm in the unspoilt Lincolnshire countryside, Lucy’s Lodge is ideal for a relaxing rural retreat break.  One of a small collection of holiday cottages at Walrudding Farm, this high quality semi-detached holiday home has 3 bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people.   

For larger groups, the holiday home next door; Amy’s Cottage can also be booked with Lucy’s Lodge by arrangement.  When booked together, both cottages sleep up to 12 people (the properties are connected by a lockable partition door).

With two large fishing lakes on site, as well as indoor swimming pool, this could be the perfect place to enjoy good times with family or friends on a rural retreat break.

Layout of Accommodation at this all-ensuite 3 Bedroom Lincolnshire Rural Retreat

•    Ground floor sociable open plan living area with lounge with comfy seating and TV, plus well equipped kitchen/diner with electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher, and washing machine.  Bi-fold doors open out from this open plan living area to the patio and lawned garden, allowing you to bring the outdoors in.

•    Two ground floor twin bedrooms, each with its own en-suite shower room,

•    First floor twin bedroom with en-suite shower room.

Leisure Facilities at Walrudding Farm

The two on site mature fishing lakes are set within the grounds of the farmhouse, just a short walk from the cottages.  Each of the fishing lakes is an acre in size and stocked with carp, tench, golden orfe, rudd and roach.

Guests are welcome to enjoy fishing at the fishing lakes but need to buy a licence.  Prices for a license are as follows:

•    £ 5.00 a day – 1 Rod
•    £ 7.00 a day – 2 Rods

The heated indoor swimming pool is 33ft long by 16ft wide and is open from 9am to 8pm.  There are changing rooms and guests are requested to bring their own towels.

There is an electric meter at this holiday home and central heating is charged at £4 a day.

Please bring your own pool towels.

With so much on offer on site, you may want to spend your holiday relaxing at Walrudding Farm.  There are good local walks and cycle routes close at hand too.  For those who also want to enjoy day trips out though, the beautiful historic city of Lincoln with its cathedral, castle, shops and eateries is just a 15 minute drive away.  Also worth a visit and only a 25 minute drive away is the pretty riverside town of Newark on Trent.
