This village doesn’t permit cars, which adds to its allure. History has been preserved here, with attractive old buildings still standing. Local scenic spots are easily accessed via several footpaths. A 16th century Grade II listed barn has been converted into a modern visitor centre, as featured on Channel 4’s ‘Grand Designs’ programme. If you want to visit the theatre, a museum or restaurant whilst on your cottage holiday spend some time in Colne. Keen golfers can enjoy a round or two at Marsden Park Golf Course close by.
