Many people visit the spectacular Peak District National Park in order to explore the countless walking trails and paths throughout the beautiful scenery. Whether you’re new to hiking or you’re a seasoned trekker, there is something for everyone in this beautiful area, but there is none so lovely or as famous as the Pennine Way. This National Trail is 268 miles long, and if you’re looking to walk some or even all of it, then renting accommodation close to the start of the Pennine Way will be ideal for you.

There are a few places close to the start of the trail, but the small village of Edale is the closest and is a lovely area to stay in. Edale is charming and friendly, home to cosy pubs, a nice café and a shop where you can stock up on provisions for your walk. There are all sorts of self-catering properties available to rent in and around the village, from quaint bungalows with off-street parking and a barbecue in the garden, to large houses with king-sized beds and a Jacuzzi tub in the bathroom. You might wish to rent somewhere with a utility room featuring both a washing machine and dryer for when you need to get grubby clothes clean, and some properties also have a drying room to make matters even easier!

Whatever holiday home you opt for in the Peak District, choosing a property in a location close to the start of the Pennine Way is great for if you’d love to walk this trail. You can enjoy home comforts such as home-cooked meals, your favourite TV shows, Wi-Fi and a comfortable bed, before you set off on this exciting and challenging trail.
