Rent good quality seaside self-catering cottages on the Isle of Wight and Hampshire for summer days at the beach and fossil hunting. The Isle of Wight is a superb holiday destination for children, there are numerous seaside resorts, both lively and peaceful. Visit the theme parks for children, the animal parks, dinosaur museum, go boating, horse riding and fossil hunting on the beaches.

Daisy Morris found a dinosaur fossil on a beach in the Isle of Wight in 2009 when she was just 5 years old. She took it to a local expert and it turned out to be a new example of a small flying dinosaur that has now been named after her. Children would relish a dinosaur fossil hunt on the Isle of Wight. Rent a cottage for a holiday somewhere on the island, as long as you have a car, it doesn't matter where because the island is only about an hour's drive from coast to coast.
