A luxury break in Aberdeenshire, that north east corner of Scotland surrounding the oil capital of Aberdeen would be a truly unforgettable experience. There is good reason why Donald Trump bought substantial acreage around Balmedie. The North Sea coastline south and north of Aberdeen is spectacular. Beaches of golden sand that rise up into sand dunes, soaring granite cliffs alive with myriads of sea birds and clown-like puffins fringe the coast. Ancient stone harbours tell of a whaling and fishing past that now house pleasure craft. A taste of the sea is a pleasure in the fish restaurants and pubs along the coast whilst enjoying a luxury cottage break.
Aberdeenshire is a county where the past lies in ruined castles and ancient Pictish stone circles that leave holidaymakers in wonder as they stumble across them. Organised tourist trails guide visitors along a golden chain of whisky distilleries and forbidding castles surrounded by wooded landscapes rich in wildlife. Try your hand at salmon fishing, hill walking or mountain biking. Golfers should bring their golf clubs with them because the county is richly blessed with golf courses, many of them links courses backing onto the sand dunes.
Book a 5 star holiday cottage that has been furnished for comfort. After a day out exploring the scenery, nature and culture of Aberdeenshire, you can look forward to your own welcoming high quality holiday home in north east Scotland.
