Pet friendly cottages in Whitby are listed below. Whitby is a well-loved seaside town on the East Yorkshire coast backed by the North York Moors. The sweep of sandy beach is perfect for summer beach breaks.

Dog owners need places to walk the dog and the Whitby to Robin Hood's Bay coastal path offers fabulous views along its length. The walk from the old part of Whitby takes you up the 199 steps to the ruins of Whitby Abbey and then along the Cleveland Way long distance footpath. Expect to see hosts of seabirds along the cliffs, wild flowers, a lighthouse and stunning coastal scenery.

Part of the charm of Whitby is the blend of old and new. The picturesque old town cottages with their red roofs are huddled around the harbour where boats bob up and down on the waves. A whalebone arch stands as a reminder of its former whaling port history. The River Esk divides the town into two halves that are connected by a bridge.

The town centre has all the attractions of any English seaside town; plenty of eateries, pubs and shops. It is a good holiday location for a summer holiday or short break in the north east of England.
