Its open gardens are best visited spring to autumn and there is also the Eden Project near St Austell which runs a year round programme of events.
Cornwall is famed for its art colonies, especially around St Ives, so always a new exhibition to visit there.
You might want to have a weekend break out of season to sample a certain holiday cottage that you may be interested in for a fortnight's holiday in the summer. That way you can check out that the cottage will be to your satisfaction before agreeing to rent at high season prices. Prices during the winter are at their lowest. Early to mid December can be a good tiem to visit if you like Christmas lights and would like to shop somewhere different for a change.
