A beautiful island with fabulous beaches, it has the nickname of 'les ânes' which means 'donkey'. Some people think it refers to the fact that donkeys were once required to climb the steep streets of St Peter's Port.

The spring flowers are a joy to behold and are much earlier than the most of the UK, summers are warmer. If you enjoy good beaches, good food and wildflowers then Guernsey is definitely for you.
