Book a family holiday cottage in Ilkeston

The American Adventure Theme Park closed its doors to the public several years ago and is no more. Despite that, Ilkeston and surrounding villages are a good family holiday destination. The Peak District National Park is about 40 minutes-drive away and staying outside the national park is always less expensive.

Add to that the fact that Ilkeston lies between the cities of Derby and Nottingham which both have numerous visitor attractions of their own and you have a very good central base for an active family holiday. Ilkeston offers a couple of hours musing at the Erewash Museum plus it has the usual entertainment such as ten pin bowling and a cinema – all useful for any rainy days.

Do take a look at the holiday cottages available in and around Ilkeston and hopefully you will find one that suits your family.
