Book a self catering holiday cottage, house or log cabin near Penryn in the south of Cornwall.

self catering cottage holidays penryn cornwallPenryn is a small ancient town about a mile to the north west of Falmouth in Cornwall.

It was founded in the 12th century and in the days of tin production, Penryn's harbour was used to export tin and later in the 19th century, granite. Some of the granite was used in the construction of London Bridge.

The town is a designated conservation area and has more historic listed buildings dating back to Tudor, Jacobean and Georgian times than any other Cornish town. Visit the museum to find out more about the history of Penryn and take a look at the handsome town hall in Market Street.

For tourists and holiday makers to Penryn, the area has much to offer with a selection of good beaches nearby, the pretty Helford River valley and rugged coastline for walks and superb scenery. Try to fit in a traditional Cornish cream tea - Cornwall and Penryn are a brilliant destination for a summer holiday in south west England.
