The Cotswolds are an all year round lovely destination for a cottage holiday or weekend break. In the spring there are lambs and blossom, in the summer when the weather is glorious, the countryside is a sheer delight, in the autumn the trees turn to golds and red and it is the ideal time to visit Westonbirt Arboretum with its collection of maples and in the winter, those Cotswold hills lie under a white frosting and the villages put on their Christmas garb and colour, all holly and mistletoe and chrming shops selling high quality gifts.

Find a lovely country cottage, with one or two bedrooms, that would sleep to people. Give yourselves a good-sized comfortable bedroom, a sitting room equipped with a television, sound system and comfortable sofas so that you have somewhere to relax after discovering the delights of the Cotswolds, a bathroom and that all important kitchen where you could cook up a breakfast fit for a king each morning.
Book a cottage that has a garden and you can enjoy breakfast outside, accompanied by bird song. A garden extends the living space, even when there are only two of you. It can be very nice to sunbathe on matching sun loungers or soak in a hot tub. A private garden add so much more to a cottage break for two in the Cotswolds, especially if the garden is private and not overlooked.
