Maidwell is a village in the county of Northamptonshire and is a great settlement in which to rent self-catering accommodation for you, your friends and your family. There is a village pub, The Stag’s Head, which also serves food and has a lovely beer garden for sunny afternoons to lounge around in, a church of St Mary the Virgin and The Loder Hall, the village hall of Maidwell which holds several village events and also features a large garden.
The beautiful Lamport Hall and Gardens is just one mile away from Maidwell and makes a fantastic day trip from the village. Set in 10 acres of parkland, visitors can get a guided tour of the hall of this Grade I listed hall which was designed by Francis Smith of Warwick and completed in the 18th century. There is also an impressive library and a High Room which dates from 1655. Taking walks around the grounds including the stunning Italian Garden is a lovely way to spend time in this pretty part of Northamptonshire.

Other places to visit that are nearby to Maidwell are the Sywell Aviation Museum which is 6 miles away, the Manor House Museum in Kettering which is just 7 miles away and Coton Manor Gardens, 5 miles away. For walking, the Brampton Valley Way is a wonderful pathway in which to do so, which runs between Market Harborough and Northampton.
