Isham is a friendly village in the heart of the county of Northamptonshire and is a great place in which to rent a self-catering cottage for a holiday with those closest to you. It is a small settlement, home to less than 1000 residents, but if you are looking to experience a quiet and charming place in which to unwind and relax, then Isham may just be for you. Located close to the banks of the River Ise, Isham is set within picturesque backdrops, and there are plenty of opportunities for you to go on morning strolls around the hills and fields close to the village.
With a village shop, two pubs – Lilacs Inn and Monk and Minstrel, plus a village green and a couple of churches, Isham retains a sense of character due to the individuality of this part of Northamptonshire, and you can feel like a villager when renting a self-catering cottage here, coming home after a day of exploring and lounging in front of the TV. There are other places nearby to discover as well, such as the vibrant town of Kettering, only three miles from Isham, or the lovely town of Burton Latimer which is just one miles away and has an array of shops, cafes and pubs to sample. Here, you will also find Bosworth’s Garden Centre which is home to plant and gardening goods and also features a gift shop and café.
