Cornwall offers more than surf, sand and pasties. For a good summer and Cornwall sunshine, rent a holiday cottage and enjoy exploring Cornwall to your hearts content.
Sunbathe on secluded beaches, walk along the cliffs and take in the views. Perhaps take a boat trip out to the Scilly Isles. The sea is always within an easy distance wherever you go in Cornwall and one of the main reasons for family holidays. Children love nothing better than to dig up the beach, paddle and explore the marine life of rock pools.
The Eden Project is open all year round, there are firework displays and festivals outside the main summer holidays. Perhaps enjoy a break in Cornwall outwith the height of summer when there are fewer visitors and less chance of meeting a car coming in the opposite direction in a narrow country lane the width of a vehicle.
The sun still shines all year round, the temperature may be a little lower outside the May to Septemeber period, but Cornwall remains the sunshine coast in the south west.
