Cadgwith is the most beautiful tiny spot on the south coast of Cornwall in between The Lizard and Coverack. Cadgwith Cove is known to have been used for smuggling centuries ago. The village is a target for artists who come to sketch and paint the glorious scenes set out before them. Benches are strategically placed to have best view of the harbour and beach.
Fish are still landed at Cadgwith and a trip to the fishmongers at the harbour is recommended to see the catch of the day being hauled in. A pub and restaurant provide welcome refreshments to people on holiday who have time to rest and enjoy the scenery.
An interesting place to visit near Cadgwith is Goonhilly Earth Station where you can find out all about satellite dishes and the future. The satellite dishes are all named after people from the legend of King Arthur which might help if you also visit Tintagel.
