The Pentland Hills are within an easy walk of the house and Skiing is minutes away at Hillend Ski slope,( longest dry ski slope in Europe). where there are two main slopes for snowboarding, ski-ing and blading. There is a chairlift, two drag tows and the facility is floodlit for winter evenings.

Edinburgh reservoirs are available nearby for fishing and we are within 20 mins drive of the worlds largest indoor climbing arena at Ratho. Many Golf courses, gardens and swimming pools are within 10 minutes drive of the cottage.
