It's even possible to see puffins, those colourful, comical birds with a large beak on Skomer Island, which is part of a marine nature reserve.  The number of visitors to the island each day is limited but a wonderful treat for bird watchers. There are also 229 km of coastal path for the more active visitor - but you don't have to walk it all in one go!

But if you just want to relax with the occasional trip to a tourist attraction, then Pembrokeshire has plenty of those on offer: Fishguards Ocean Lab, Oakwood, Welsh Wildlife Centre... and an almost endless list suitable for families.
