Looking for a short break in Alfreton in east Derbyshire? Alfreton is a fairly typical East Midlands town that has a high street and shopping centre and a good variety of amenities. Situated close to the border with Nottinghamshire, it is a residential town where people live and work rather than a tourist destination. However, we know that people need short stay holiday accommodation for numerous reasons and Alfreton is better than other Derbyshire towns if you want somewhere with plenty of shops and an excellent road network.
The A38 east to Mansfield passes through Alfreton and the A61 travels north to Chesterfield. The Peak District is just over half an hour’s drive away to the west. Staying in Alfreton is not the craziest idea if you want to find cheaper accommodation for a few days out in the Peak District.
You may of course be searching for a small holiday rental for a business trip or are looking for a large party house in a town that can offer a choice of pubs and clubs, in which case Alfreton may be ideal.
