Halswell Lodge is a delightful period cottage situated in the centre of the sleepy village of Goathurst, Somerset. Constructed in the last year of King William IV’s reign in 1836 and built to serve as the entrance lodge to Halswell Park, the thatched dwelling was finished in the then fashionable ‘Cottage Orneé’ style.

The Lodge is a welcoming cosy hideaway for a small family or perfect location for a getaway-from-it-all weekend.

The village is a conservation area and principally made up of stone and thatched listed houses.
