The following cottages are in the Mendips or Mendip Hills in Somerset. The Mendip Hills are hollow limestone hills carved by streams that have eroded a wonderful network of caves. View Cheddar, Ebbor Gorge and Wookey Hole when in the area. The sheer limestone cliffs of Cheddar Gorge run for about a mile - leading to Cheddar village with its underground caves and tourist area.

Spring cottages are three pet-friendly barn conversions, each sleeping just two people. There is a 2 acre back garden for the use of owners and their pets. Bed linen, colour TV and video are included. The cottages are just a 15 minute walk away from Cheddar Gorge and the caves. Positioned in the town centre, it's ideal for exploring this delightful old woollen town, or cycling or paddling along the picturesque Kennet and Avon Canal or the River Avon Yet being only 100 metres from the station it's ideal for visiting Georgian Bath or Bristol, the ancient cathedral city of Salisbury, the south coast. For family outings Longleat and Stonehenge are near. And Stourhead and a host of National Trust properties are on your doorstep. The country round about is arguably the most picturesque region of England, with a mild climate, lovely coutryside for walking, cycling or touring by car, only 60 miles from the south coast, yet close too to the Cotswolds, the Mendip Hills, the Quantocks & Exmoor. The region is full of ancient history, from stone age Stonehenge to Georgian Bath, and boasts a wealth of lovely houses and gardens to visit.
