 If you have visited Scotland previously, you will appreciate that because of the low population compared to England, driving is a pleasant experience, and that distances are covered faster.  It only takes about an hour to travel from Edinburgh to Glasgow.  There is s much to see of interest in handsome traditional local towns like Jedburgh, Kelso,  Peebles, Selkirk, and Moffat, and if you're based in the Borders, you will be able to easily tour and discover this region. 

Self catering in the Scottish Borders - (almost) close to the border in Cumbria

This is a fabulous 17th century house in its own gardens, now fully modernised to provide a really comfortable, secluded 6 bedroom 5 bathroom self catering holiday house.

Surrounded by lovely green lawns and woodland the house offers privacy and wonderful walks across the estate and yet is only 20 minutes from the lovely city of Perth and access to beautiful Perthshire, salmon fishing, golf and more.
