The self catering Chapel is no longer available, however we highly recommend booking a self catering country cottage, house or apartment for a holiday near the market town of Newark, in Nottinghamshire, the East Midlands. There is just so much to see and do in the area. It's also a great destination for a weekend break. Visit the town market in a Saturday and take a walk along the river to see the canal boats.
Newark offers numerous historic buildings and has a wealth of antique shops where you can browse happily for hours. Find everything from copper kettles to satined glass windows.
Polish people visiting Newark may be interested to know that there is a Polish war cemetary and memorial in the town.
Places to visit in Nottinghamshire on your self-catering holiday
There is a host of attractions and places of interest in Nottinghamshire and neighbouring Lincolnshire.
Topical at the moment, the cathedral scenes in the Da Vinci Code were filmed in Lincoln Cathedral which is just a shortish drive away.
