Nairnshire is in the north of Scotland and is named after its principal city of Nairn. Find somewhere nice to stay in a cottage or pine lodge and enjoy a self-catering break investigation nature and enjoying a spot of fishing near Nairn.

The town of Nairn lies on the coast with opportunities for sea fishing from the beach, harbour wall or a boat. There are several small lochs that may also be worth a dangle. Travwl south west along the A96 towards Inverness, passing Cawdor Castle of Macbeth fame, and there is fly fishing for salmon and trout on the River Ness. This river flows into the substantial body of water that is Loch Ness where myth and sport mingles on the misty banks. Permits are often but not always required.

On clear days, the views are magnificent in this part of Scotland and it's lovely to also get out and about the make the most of the scenery. If you are especially fortunate, you may be able to find a holiday cottage in a stunning setting with its own beautiful views from the windows.
