Situated near Pembrey on the south coast of Wales, is a Grade II Listed cottage with sea views, a hot tub in the garden and stunning décor and luxurious fittings inside. The cottage does not look anything much from the front but step past the front door and a new world awaits.
A heavily beamed living room has carefully arranged sofas and chairs facing the glowing log burner. Light streams in through the window and a Welsh dresser at the back of the room stores some of the crockery. Stairs lead upwards to the bedrooms and a downstairs hallway leads to the impressive country kitchen and ground floor bedroom and shower room.
The cottage feels warm and cosy throughout. There is gas central heating to warm each nook and crevice.
The oak kitchen is a delight. There are plenty of work surface and a central island. Cooking is on a gas range cooker and just about every utensil and appliance that holidaymakers need for self-catering is provided.
Even the bedrooms are pleasing to the eye. All three bedrooms are ground floor and sleep six people. A Jacuzzi bath in the main bathroom aids relaxation before going to bed. There is also shower room.
Outside the cottage are enclosed gardens, mainly laid to lawn and the gravel area with steps up to a hot tub. An additional fee is charged for use of the hot tub during a holiday and prior arrangement is required.
The Village of Pembrey is virtually on the coast, near Pembrey Forest and Golf Club. Burry Port and harbour is worth a look just to see the boats. There is also a railway station in Pembrey which may suit holidaymakers arriving by train.
All manner of year round events are held at the local Flas Las Racecourse, these could be exhibitions, fairs and even horse racing. Llanelli is the next big town eastwards along the coast, a good place for shopping and nights out.
