With ample character, open beams, quirky features and superb views out to Gouthwaite reservoir and the surrounding valley, Swallow Barn is a special holiday home.
There are 3 bedrooms and up to 10 people can be accommodated at this welcoming holiday home.
Inside there is a roomy lounge with comfy sofas, a TV and DVD player where you can relax with family or friends. There is also a snug with toys, sofas and bean bags where children can play.
The well equipped kitchen/diner makes for easy self-catering with its dishwasher, double Smeg dual fuel stove fridge/freezer and washing machine. The dining area features a solid oak table and seats 10 people. All floors are beautiful polished oak.
There are three double bedrooms:
• One extra large family room with a super king size bed and two full size singles when needed (a comfy sofa when not),there is also space for a third single bed if needed.
• A lovely split level bedroom with a double bed and two singles.
• A double bedroom with space for a travel cot or put u up bed for a child.
Outside is a beautiful patio area where you can dine alfresco or enjoy a morning coffee and take in the superb views. This area can also take a hot tub, which can be sourced for you (by arrangement and at additional cost).
There are stables and a paddock nearby if anyone wants to bring their horse/horses on holiday with them.
This comfortable and welcoming holiday cottage enjoys an excellent location within the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. There are great walks to discover in this area, as well as great biked rides and bridle paths.
Just 2 miles further up the Dale is Howstean Gorge, and area known as 'The Little Switzerland' where you can enjoy an array of outdoor activities, including gorge walking, abseiling, canoeing, caving, potholing and a famous Via Ferrata course.
At the top of the dale is Middlesmoor where on a clear day the view down the dale and reservoir are just stunning.
Ramsgill itself is home to The Yorke Arms a Michelin starred Restaurant, which is just a two minute walk away from the barn. Also nearby is the Sportsmans Arms which serves food and at nearby Pateley Bridge there are a variety of eateries on offer, as well as two excellent late night opening shops.
