The Vale of Evesham is still renowned for its orchards.  Worcestershire is a county to the west of England in between Herefordshire and Warwickshire.  The Cotswolds and Gloucestershire lie to the south of Worcestershire, and Shropshire and Staffordshire in the north.  Three of England's rivers meet in Worcestershire: the Severn, Avon and Teme. River and canal boat tours offer a day out cruising and sightseeing from the comfort of a boat.

Malvern spring water comes from the Malvern Hills in the south west of the county.  The Severn Way, partly follows the course of the river through Worcestershire and affords picturesque views and photo opportunities for walkers. There are several other major walks in the county.  The 50 mile long Worcestershire Way cuts a high path along wooded ridges between the rivers Severn and Teme.  The Wychavon Way follows the route from the Severn to the Cotswolds.

The cities and towns of Worcestershire are all worth visiting.  Worcester has a fine cathedral with a restored historic crypt and the entombed remains of King John.  The Museum of Historic Buildings provides a wonderful opportunity for learning more about the architecture of the ages.  There is much more to do and see.  owners of the self-catering cottages below will be delighted to tell you more about their county of Worcestershire.
