Ashton is home to a gorgeous thatched roof pub, The Chequered Skipper, friendly people and beautiful buildings, all set in picturesque scenery on the meandering river. It is only ¾ of a mile from the ancient market town of Oundle, with a wonderful farmer’s market and lots of shops and pubs, and is another great place to visit when residing in Ashton.
