Gorse Lodge is a beautifully renovated country house in a tranquil setting surrounded by one hundred acres of our privately owned lakes and woodlands. It has six en-suite bedrooms, and large open fired sitting room opening out to the bar room, large main hall leading through to the farmhouse kitchen, landscaped gardens. Visitors staying at the lodge have the option of self-catering or full catering. Corporate events, weddings, or Stag and Hen events welcome. Clay pigeon shooting available. Short breaks all year round. Availability for half-term and other school holidays.

Gorse Lodge is a beautifully renovated country house in a tranquil setting surrounded by one hundred acres of our privately owned lakes and woodlands.

It has five en-suite bedrooms, and large open fired sitting room opening out to the bar room, large main hall leading through to the farmhouse kitchen, landscaped gardens. Kitchen with Aga. The original oak beamed hall provides a spectacular reception with seating for up to 50 guests. The landscaped gardens and lakes create an outstanding backdrop for our adjoining marquee catering for larger parties.

Visitors staying at the lodge have the option of self-catering or full catering, full weeks or weekend breaks. Corporate events, weddings, or Stag and Hen events welcome.

Newark is a pleasant thriving market town with a well-known antiques centre. Antique fairs are held regularly in the area. Nottingham is a short drive away with its bustling shopping centres, Wollaton park, Nottingham Castle museum and various tourist attractions. Sherwood Forest with walks, the Go Ape aerial adventure, and visitor centre also within easy driving distance. Southwell with its cathedral or Minster and National Trust Workhouse are worth a visit. Belvoir Castle offers events including Steam fairs, historical re-enactments throughout the year.
