This finely restored house in the garden of England offers a delightful getaway for a family of groups of friends. Located on the edge of the Kent village of Lenham Heath near to Ashford, Shepherd Farmhouse is a detached farmhouse. The property is suitable for up to 7 people and has two double bedrooms, one twin room, one single room (with an en suite), as well as a family bathroom. The cottage also includes a fitted kitchen, a dining room and a sitting room with a wood burning stove, great for relaxing in front of on a cooler evening. The large garden is supplied with outdoor furniture and features a small private lake. There is off road parking for four cars. Charming country walks across the surrounding fields will take you on to the neighbouring villages of Lenham and Charing both offering a large selection of local shops, restaurants and pubs.  More committed walkers might like a stretch on the Stour Valley Walk or the North Downs Way which both pass close by. The Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the North Downs is just the beginning of beautiful countryside all around. With the historic towns of Maidstone, Canterbury and Rochester all close by and the Kent coast just a short drive away, Shepherd Farmhouse is an excellent cottage for a family holiday.

There is private parking space for 4 cars. Double garage with bike storage. Orchard to the front with free apples depending on season. Large rear garden with furniture and small private lake. Sorry, no pets or smoking. Pub and shop 1.5 miles. Please Note: Children aged 2 years and above only. Please Note: There is a small partially fenced lake in the garden - please ensure children are supervised at all times. Kent has a strong history of fruit growing and horticulture.  Kent is particularly well known for growing and harvesting apples and for the characterful oast houses which are to be found dotted around the landscape.  With a number of country parks and nature reserves, Kent is indeed a green and pleasant land.
