Hadleigh is a well-preserved market town in Suffolk, close to the Essex border and ten miles away from Ipswich on the coast.The gently curving high street has many half-timbered historic houses that were once built by prosperous wool merchants in the 17 and 18th century. The ancient guildhall is open to visitors on Thursday and sunday afternoons.
Hadleigh is a good base for exploring Constable Country and the historic villages of Suffolk (with self-catering accommodation).
