Uniquely positioned high on the Cotswold escarpment overlooking Regency Cheltenham, the Old Dairy at Slades Farm boasts one of the ten best views in England. All the main rooms provide panoramic vistas westward across the Severn Vale to the Black Mountains of Wales and southward as far as the Severn Bridge. Walks start within a few feet of the front door with Nottingham Hill, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, rising above the cottage. Within a quarter of a mile is 1000 feet-high Cleeve Hill with its golf course and ancient earthworks. Beyond are the Cotswolds with their picturesque villages and stately homes, while Slimbridge Wildfowl Trust and Stratford-upon-Avon are both within easy reach. THE DAIRY The Dairy is a very pretty newly converted barn, in a very quiet situation, near to the farmer's beautiful farm house, near to Crimscote. It is surrounded by its own lawned garden, with views of the fields, downs and Ilmington Hills all around.The Dairy is situated 5 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and ½ mile from Crimscote. The Dairy is full of character with beams and wooden floors and is furnished to the highest standard. The accommodation is single storey.There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, electric cooker etc. The beamed sitting room has a settee and chair grouped around the television and the fireplace, at one end is a dining area with table and chairs. Mill House dates from 1815 when it was a working water powered needle factory, it then pumped potable water to the nearby town of Alcester until 1972. It is set in Arrow in its gardens with a stream and a spinney. It has four double bedrooms: the Snug, the Cloister, the Old Nursery and the Bunk Room.
