Thousand Acres is a lovely six bedrooms, four bathrooms manor house nestled in the Cotswold Hills. Its 9.3 acres include formal lawns, a croquet lawn, a Victorian walled garden, paddocks and woodland. The house itself has an indoor swimming pool, sauna and hot tub with gym equipment and a pool table whilst in the grounds there is the croquet lawn, tennis court, a children’s trampoline and swings and clay pigeon shooting by arrangement. Thousand Acres was once the home of Dame Joan Evans a respected author who described the house as “being compact, solid and with a good garden and wide views over all the vale of Severn to the hills of Wales”. It is a house designed for luxurious country living incorporating all modern facilities. It is perfect for family holidays, reunions or a special celebration break. It is also available for corporate functions and weddings – please ask for our separate brochures. The house is new to the rental market and so is currently available for Cheltenham Gold Cup week 2009. Thousand Acres is a period, detached Cotswold stone house situated in 9 acres with far reaching views, indoor swimming pool for exclusive use of guests, sauna, indoor hot tub and tennis court. The property has been lovingly refurbished, with six bedrooms, two of which have four posters. The house can sleep up to 14 people. Outside there is a croquet lawn and formal walled garden as well as a secluded well furnished patio with large gas barbecue and patio heaters. Inside there is a kitchen extensively equipped for the serious cook, a games room with pool table, formal drawing and dining rooms – the latter with a grand piano Little extras are the Bose sound system throughout the ground floor, fluffy towels and bathrobes and Cotswold Lavender toiletries.
