The Manor house accommodates 17 and the cottages accomodates up to 23 in five stone-built country cottages in the heart of the beautiful North Devon countryside, in seven acres of woodlands with tenis court, Swimming pool, a croquet lawn alongside gardens and a stream. The cottages each accommodate a varying number of guests from 2-7. The Tarka Trail, the path of a disused railway line, runs nearby where you can hire a bike or walk through the Devon countryside. The beautiful, cobbled fishing village of Clovelly is only a few miles away, with its whitewashed cottages and steep cobbled streets were cars are banned and only donkeys are permitted to carry goods up and down the steep lanes. Here you can see the little cottage, now a museum, where the author Charles Kingsley once lived. Available for Christmas and available for New Year breaks.

The victorian Manor House  accomodates 17 and the 4 star cottages accomodate up to 23. Set deep in the heart of the beautiful North Devon countryside, in twelve acres woodlands with a croquet lawn, heated outdoor pool and tennis court with gardens and a stream. Guests are welcome to explore the grounds and view the abundant wild life. Foxdown Manor and the cottages is an ideal base for visiting the north Devon coast and its wonderful attractions, bird watching, golfing, cycling, hiking, surfing, fishing, or just relaxing. 

Just a short drive from the North Devon coastline you can enjoy breathtaking scenery, family fun on sandy beaches and coastal walks. Local facilities include horse riding, golf, freshwater and sea fishing, shooting, surfing, sailing, golf and cycling. Facilities within the grounds include an outdoor heated swimming pool (open mid/late July to Sept 1 - subject to weather), sauna (small charge), tennis court, small games room and croquet lawn.

The elegant Victorian Manor house and the cottages are heated (central heating and/or electric radiators), fully equipped with cookers, microwave and toasters and have colour TV.DVD & Freeview. Duvets, duvet covers, pillows, pillowslips and sheets are provided, all you have to bring are towels (although we can supply these for you at a small charge - arrangements to be made before arrival). There is a laundry room with a washing-machine and tumble-dryer for our guests.  Cots and high chairs are available on request prior to arriving and anything else that you require we will try our best to provide for you. There is ample parking adjacent to the cottages.

Dogs Welcome -Whilst we are animal lovers and dogs and cats are very welcome at a small charge, by prior arrangement, we ask that owners take every care to keep their pets under control and to clean up after them.

There is an abundance of local attractions and theme parks including the Big Sheep, The Milky Way and Kilarney Springs. We are close to the once important port of Bideford, which boasts an arched bridge dating back to Saxon times and a quaint Pannier Market. Out of this port once sailed Raleigh, Drake and Grenville who led the first settlers to America. It has a quaint Pannier Market (Tuesday and Saturday) and an abundance of antique shops and public houses.

Westward Ho!, where Rudyard Kipling went to school, is close by, with its huge expanse of beach, which is popular with surfers. There are a modest number of amusement arcades, a sandy beach, a go-cart track, ice cream parlours and tearooms. Atlantic Village, a new discount outlet Shopping Centre is nearby with a children’s adventure centre. So the children can have fun while you shop.

Instow Beach is just the other side of Bideford, with its attractive quayside houses and beautiful golden sandy beach and dunes. Bucks Mills is only a few miles away and has a few tiny cottages and a quaint tearoom. A steep walk through the tiny village down to the beach, which is full of rock pools to explore.

Rosemoor the Royal Horticultural Society centre is only a ten-minute drive away for you to explore and wonder at the beautiful flora and fauna. Just past Rosemoor in Torrington is the Dartington Crystal factory and visitor centre where, as well as the glass blowing demonstrations, exhibitions and factory tour, there is now a new Family Glass Art Activities Centre to keep the children amused.
