The
following apartments are just 3 miles away from Stratford-upon-Avon.
Wander around Stratford, take in a theatre trip, boating
on the river, visit Shakespeare's birthplace and the
houses he lived in, the Shakespeare exhibition, then
return 'home' to your comfortable apartment set in
beautiful gardens just a stone's throw from where
Shakespeare's mother lived.
The
Apple Loft and Acanthus Cottages are set in the grounds
of Peartree Cottage in Wilmcote. The village of Wilmcote
is in the heart of Shakespeare Country just three
miles from Stratford-upon-Avon and eight miles from
Warwick. Pear Tree Cottage is near the village green
and looks across a paddock towards MARY ARDEN'S HOUSE,
the home of Shakespeare's mother's family.
The
Apple loft cottage: This accommodation, for one
or two people, consists of a large sitting room, a
separate fully fitted dining kitchen, and a double
bedroom with ensuite shower and WC. This bedroom can
be made up with king-size or twin beds. The apartment
is at first floor level having a bright and airy aspect
overlooking the gardens and adjoining paddock.
The
Acanthus Cottage: The accommodation, for up to
four people, has a spacious Living/Dining area with
cosy chairs and a folding dining table for four. The
modern fully-fitted kitchen has a breakfast bar. The
two bedrooms have double beds (one can be made up
as twin bedded if required) each having their own
ensuite bathroom - with bath, shower and WC. The whole
apartment is at ground floor level.

servants quarters that formed part of the estate of
a village squire in 1700s.

on a private drive they have their own car park and
attractive walled garden. They are close to the historic
county town of Chester with is quaint rows that are
a shopper's paradise. The cottages are particularly
well equipped and are very comfortable with beamed
ceilings and period furniture.

village of Tarvin is located in the centre of the
attractive Cheshire countryside 7km or just under
5 miles from the historic city of Chester. It has
a good range of shops including a mini-supermarket,
greengrocers, chemist, delicatessen, newsagents, coffee
shop, hairdressers, fashion boutique, petrol station.
There are three pubs all serving food as well as a
Chineseand a high quality Thai restaurant.
Evidence
of Chester's Roman history abounds and visitors can
walk around the old city on a high sandstone wall.
The streets have shops on two levels and a worldwide
selection of restaurants. The nightlife is busy with
entertainment ranging from live theatre to jazz venues
and discos.

markets, South Bank and London Eye. Go Christmas
shopping in London and enjoy the lights and decorations.

the university town of Oxford with its dreaming spires,
marvel at the historic old
buildings and splendid architecture, take a boat road
on the river, tea at one of the many tea shops.
Cosy
stone walled and thatched detached cottage (sleeps
1-3) in the heart of this pretty village on the edge
of the Cotswolds.
There
is a comfortable sitting room with uninterrupted views
across the garden and onto open countryside. The cottage
is completely open-plan with a spiral staircase (not
safe for toddlers) to the twin bedroom. There is an
additional double bed-settee although the cottage
would be cramped with more than two adult guests.
The
kitchen is simple with an electric hob, fridge and
microwave. The toilet and shower room is downstairs.
Electric heating is provided at no additional charge.
No smoking is allowed inside this property.
There
are two pubs serving good food and real ale within
walking distance and a village supermarket.
