Hope in the Peak DistrctGood quality self-catered accommodation

A good holiday in the Peak District begins with renting quality self-catered accommodation. There’s nothing nicer than to arrive and settle in to a completely private and attractive self-contained cottage with its own front door and a garden where recliners and a barbecue await. These holiday rentals offer the next best thing to your own home, somewhere where you can lounge about and relax without appalling the neighbours. Stock the fridge and cupboards, pour yourself a drink and peruse the lovely places to visit around Hope.

Find cottages with just the one bedroom that sleep two people, cottages suitable for families and group accommodation. Go upmarket to find a cottage with a hot tub, or be kind to your dog and book pet-friendly so that Boris can come too.

Out and about from Hope

The most popular place to begin a walk through the Hope Valley is in the village of Castleton (nicely decorated in the run up to Christmas). There are various routes depending on what you would like to see and your level of fitness. If you walk upwards you will be rewarded by great views, perhaps see hang gliders leaping off of Mam Tor, old mine workings and the limestone crags and shale of the hills.

The villages of Hope and Castleton are interesting to explore and there is a walk between the two villages.
