Stratford where people gather to watch the canal boats. Visit Hatton
Locks 3 miles west of Warwick to view the aptly named flight of 21 locks
called the 'Stairway to Heaven'. |

Pretty 17th Century cottage opposite lovely 14th Century St Nicholas Church in the very centre of the historic little market town of Alcester near Stratford upon Avon. Own secluded courtyard garden with access to The Limes' garden which goes down to the river Arrow and fishing.
Peaceful and full of light yet central - a country retreat in a town location.
There is free parking round the churchyard, a few yards away, a local gym, tennis and fishing. Swimming in a large, warm private pool 3 houses away - by arrangement.
All the shops and services you could possibly want are less than 5 minutes away. The 17th century Town Hall (still used by the ancient Court Leet) is just opposite, the Library and Roman Alcester Heritage Centre a few minutes down the High Street. Lovely town and country practically on the doorstep. There is an excellent pub with good restaurant within 50 yards and several more (some known for their real ales) throughout the town, which also has a full range of interesting shops and some lovely tea rooms.
A wealth of Tudor buildings close by - the best known and most beautiful, Malt Mill Lane, adjoining Church Street. Alcester lies between Birmingham (very convenient for the NEC) and Stratford upon Avon with many tourist attractions.
