Get away from it all on Britain's northern tip in this stylish Scottish cottage. Located in the quiet village of Halkirk, 6 miles from Thurso in the Northern Highlands of Scotland, Church Court Cottage is a cosy semi-detached property. The cottage sleeps up to 5 people, with a double bedroom, and a family room with triple bunk (which has a double bed below and a single on top) and a family shower room. A modern well-equipped kitchen has everything you'll need for self catering. There's a dining area and a sunny sitting room with doors to the outside decked area where table and chairs provide a place to relax. One well-behaved pet is welcome at the property. There is dedicated off-road parking for 2 cars. There are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the stunning Highland scenery with fishing opportunities on the River Thurso, walks and cycle rides in the beautiful countryside and moorland and coastline to explore. Whisky lovers will want to visit soem of teh many fine distilleries in the area, while the more advenerous may fancy a trip to John O' Groats or the Orkney Islands. Church Court Cottage makes a welcoming base for family or friends at any time of year.

This rural cottage has heating from storage heaters throughout. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, dishwasher. TV, DVD, iPod dock. All fuel and power included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. There is private parking space for 2 cars. Decked patio area with furniture. One well-behaved pet welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 10 minutes' walk. The Highlands of Scotland offer castles, whisky distilleries, glens, lochs and mountain scenery. The Highlands cover a large part of Scotland but it is not a highly populated area meaning that if you really want to get away from it all and find some peace and tranquillity the Scottish Highlands could be for you.

The village of Halkirk in the Northern Highlands has a shop, pub and hotel with restaurant. Halkirk also offers good fishing on the river Thurso. Thurso itself is nearby with more amenities on offer. John OÂ’Groats is under 30 miles away, while the Orkney Islands are also within an easy drive (and ferry trip!). A lovely touring base for exploring the Northern Highlands.
