Symondsbury Manor is a lovely Tudor Manor House, quietly situated behind the local parish church in the pretty thatched village of Symondsbury. The entire area is designated as being of outstanding natural beauty and is ideal for long walks or a relaxed seaside holiday. There is space in the gardens to erect marquees for weddings and various events. Excellent group accommodation. Available for Christmas bookings.

Symondsbury Manor is a lovely Tudor Manor house set into grounds of approximately two and a half acres with the front lawn landscaped and the rear of the property left as a natural habitat. The surrounding hills and countryside is amongst the most attractive scenery in England.

The entire area is designated as being of outstanding natural beauty and is ideal for long walks or a relaxed seaside holiday. This area is part of the coast which has just been awarded World Heritage Site Status for its internationally important geology, fossils and geomorphology. It's England's first natural World Heritage Site, this award puts this coast alongside sites such as the Grand Canyon and the Great Barrier Reef. It is about a mile and a half to the sea and there are a variety of beaches to choose from ranging from sandy beaches at West Bay and Lyme Regis to small coves at Eype and Chideock.

Marquees can be erected in the garden to cater for weddings and various celebrations. Optional catering can be available.

The sea is very close at Eype, West Bay and Charmouth.Bridport, the nearest town, is a mile and a half away and has large street markets twice a week of fruit and vegetables, antiques, bric-a-brac and local crafts. Things to see include the Cerne Giant, Monkey World, Corfe Castle.

Travel: Dorchester railway station and Exeter airport

Good places to visit: Bridport Market. West Bay and Lyme Regis harbour. Jersey and Guernsey.
