Gloucestershire Mabels Oak Cottage

Mabels Oak Cottage is situated just 2 minutes walk from the centre of Tetbury, where there is a variety of individual and interesting shops, including gifts, clothes, a good bakers, a superb traditional cheese shop, an excellent real butcher and a couple of well known supermarkets. The town has a reputation for fine antique shops, of which there are over 25 and has the addition of The Highgrove shop - with its connection to Highgrove House, home of Prine Charles. There is an abundance of excellent tea rooms, pubs and restaurants both in town and within a short drive. The tourist information office is within 200 yds of the cottage for useful hints on where to go and what to see, and the owners live next door, so are on hand to help in any way. They may even baby sit with a little persuasion while you sample the local hospitality. |
