A popular cottage for self catering breaks in Ireland. Located a mile outside the village of Allihies on the County Cork coast, Allihies Lodge is a stone built detached cottage With stunning coastal views. The cottage can sleep up to seven people in its four bedrooms made up of two doubles (one with an ensuite), one twin and one single. The accommodation also contains a family bathroom, a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room blessed with an open fire. There is a lawned garden to the side of the cottage and off-road parking for six cars. There are fabulous walking routes available close by, with beachcombing and country walks to suit all tastes. Allihies Lodge is a fantastic cottage, no matter what you are looking for from your holiday.

Full oil central heating, additional heating from open fire in the sitting room. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric oven and hob, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer, dishwasher, colour TV, DVD, CD/radio, library of books and games. Fuel and power charged by meter reading. Starter pack for open fire included in the rent. Bed linen and towels are included in the rent. Cot, highchair and stairgate available. There is private parking space for 6 cars. Lawned garden to the side. Sorry no pets and no smoking. Shop and pub 1 mile. County Cork is full of truly breathtaking natural beauty. With unspoilt beaches, historic castles, and modern visitor attractions, there’s plenty for all ages to absorb and there is always plenty to see and do in County Cork.

The village of Allihies in County Cork overlooks Ballydonegan Bay with its magnificent quartz strand, a direct result of the mining era. The village lies on The Ring of Beara, a tourist trail of about 195 kilometres (121 miles) circumnavigating the peninsula. Attractions nearby include Dursey Island, which is linked to the mainland by a Cable Car and is the only such ride in Europe to cross over water. There are also many coastal and countryside walks and quaint villages to enjoy.
