St Ives has several enormous sandy beaches. It's a bustling small town with numerous eateries to feed all those hungry holidaymakers. Visit the Tate Modern in St Ives and all the other small art galleries. Walk the coastal path, see the ruins of the tin mining industry. Go down to Land's End and have your photograph taken with the famous signpost.
St. Ives is surrounded by rolling countryside, green farmland where the ruins of former tin mining litter the landscape and tourists come to gawp at. The coast is impressive with granite cliffs and small secret coves where people can find that thye have the beach to themselves.
