It is within easy reach of Constable Country, Aldeburgh and the Suffolk coast, yet under 2 hours drive from London.

Milnthorpe House is a very spacious property, with accommodation for 16 guests. It has three bathrooms, five reception rooms and is perfect for large family gatherings and celebrations, parties and events.

It has a large driveway with plenty of parking and is surrounded by spacious gardens.

The house has five spacious reception rooms, including a sitting room, drawing room, dining room, library, conservatory and kitchen breakfast room.

A heated outdoor swimming pool can be enjoyed by guests from late May to September. It is set in attractive gardens with terraces, garden furniture and a gas BBQ.

Our change-over day is flexible and, where possible, we are happy to fit in with your requirements.

Travel: Ipswich station, a short drive/taxi ride. Stansted Airport and the ferries at Harwich, under an hours drive.

Good places to visit: There are numerous places of interest to visit, including the stunning Suffolk coastline. Orford, Aldeburgh, Southwold, Dunwich, Woodbridge, Rendlesham Forest, Alton Water and Felixstowe are all within easy reach. Also the attractive Constable country and Suffolk villages, including Flatford and Dedham. London is only 1 hour away by train and Stansted Airport just over an hour by car. The port of Harwich, with links to the Netherlands, is around 1 hours drive.

Good places to eat: There are plenty of excellent restaurants in the local area. The Marina and historical part of town have a good range of restaurants and bars. Within a few minutes drive you can be in the country, where there are a number of excellent pubs serving local ales and award winning food. There is also a good local pub within walking distance of the house.

Local Sports: Sailing and watersports on the Suffolk coast, walking and exploring Constable Country, rowing

A pleasant town with good shopping centre, entertainment area, multi screen cinema complex, historical district and many lively bars and excellent restaurant on the waterfront and marina. A short drive from the stunning Suffolk coast, lovely villages and delightful countryside. Ideally suited for the 2012 Olympics, being less than an hour by train to the Olympic Village.
