Sensible precautions should be taken with hot tub use. They are not suited to people with severe medical conditions and alcohol and hot tubs do not mix.

Indulging in the soothing warm water of a hot tub is pleasurable for most and beats meeting people down at the local pub because it reduces inhibitions. It is easy to see why people would like to bubble away in an outdoor hot tub, sip wine and chat with friends. Most of us have happily climbed into a hot tub or Jacuzzi at the local swimming pool without a thought about hygiene or safety.

However, we are considering a hot tub that cannot hold more than about 8 people at most and the weather of Hertfordshire is not that suitable for spending hours semi-naked outside. The maximum time spent in a hot tub in any one session is generally up to 30 minutes. The bubbling and activity is timed from the press of a buttonand then it is a quick sprint into your country cottage unless the weather is very warm.

Most of us know not to expect wall to wall sunshine in Hertfordshire. It is best to take that umbrella just in case.
