Luxury newly renovated Victorian property right in the heart of Matlock. We have redesigned and restructured the property so it is an ideal property for groups of friends, walking and cycling holidays, large families and special occasions such as stag and hen parties.We have a luxury hot tub with massage water jets and music in our enclosed garden and a sauna which makes a break with us  a truly relaxing experience. The accommodation is spacious over 4 floors with games room in the basement featuring sauna, pool/table tennis table and old-fashioned tabletop skittles. Sky TV and Wi-fi available on site.

The living accommodation has a large kitchen-diner, which is fully fitted with Smeg fridge-freezer double oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave and large dining table for all the guests to enjoy a special meal together. Comfortable sitting room with flat screen TV, seating for 12 and wood burner for cozy get-togethers. There is a secure landscaped enclosed garden with luxury hot tub, cycle storage and wooden seating . Parking for 3 cars in our off road drive.

6 bedrooms with 4 being en-suite. Ground floor bedroom with en-suite shower room and adaptable zip and link beds making 2 singles or a super king bed. First floor master bedroom with King sized bed and luxury en-suite with walk-in shower. Further double bedroom with another en-suite. 2 or 3 singles in last first floor bedroom. Second floor has further large bedroom with zip and link beds as before and luxury en-suite with walk-in shower. 2 singles in last comfortable top floor bedroom.

The Peak District National Park has spectacular walking, cycle routes, climbing and caving. Carsington water with water sport facilities is close-by. Historic houses such as Chatsworth and Haddon Hall a short drive away and frequently used as film locations.Matlock is famous for its cable cars which run up to the Heights of Abraham.Matlock Bath is famous for the Harley-Davidsons which congregate on sundays.

Travel: Matlock train station 300metres and East Midlands airport 56km.

Good places to visit: Chatsworth House , Haddon hall , Hardwick Hall and Bolsover Castle. Heights of Abraham or Gullivers kingdom in Matlock Bath. Bakewell or Buxton.

Annual Events: Matlock Bath illuminations and Venetian lights run from the end august to 25th october. Chatsworth Country fair 4 to 6th September 2009. Bakewell Show 5 to 6th August 2009.

Good places to eat: Thornleigh house is within a few minutes walk to several pubs and restaurants. Red lion pubs in either Matlock Green or Stone edge Chesterfield are both good for large groups.
