Sycamore Lodge Farm is a new barn conversion into luxury three bedroom holiday accommodation. The bungalow has a spacious lounge and dining area with exposed wooden beams and large conservatory with a four person hot tub; the extensive glass affords panoramic views over the Vale of Belvoir. This secluded spot sits in open countryside approximately one mile from the village of Harby near Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.

There is one double en-suite bedroom and two twin rooms, all furnished with locally made pine. The bungalow offers full laundry and cooking facilities with a fully fitted kitchen and utility room.

Harby has a Post Office and stores, garage, pubs and a Cantonese restaurant. The nearest railway station is Melton Mowbray with mainline stations in Nottingham and Grantham. Regular buses run from Harby to Melton Mowbray and Nottingham. Local churches and chapels give visitors a warm welcome.

Melton Mowbray

The market town of Melton Mowbray is famous for pork pies and Stilton Cheese, and is just seven miles away from Harby. It holds a livestock and street market every Friday for locally grown produce.

Self-catering accommodation near Melton Mowbray with horse riding lessons

Fishing and golf are available in the area, along with numerous equine activities which include cross-country, hunting, hacking and our own local shows with show jumping, jumping for beginners, showing in hand and ridden along with games.

We have 10 stables on site and 75 acres of land on which you can ride or use the Show Ground. Also, we have a floodlit ménage.

You can bring your own horse or hire one of ours. We can also provide tuition for beginners or anyone wishing to try new areas of equine activities and tailor-make your equine holiday for your needs.
